Scope and Contents of the Collection

The collection consists of correspondence, memoranda, audio and visual recordings, and newspaper clippings relating to student protests at MIT against the Vietnam War and disciplinary action taken against them. Events documented include the Moratorium of 15 October 1969; the November Action, 6 November 1969; and occupation of the office of the president of MIT (Howard W. Johnson), 15-16 January 1970. Panel reports and discipline hearing are also included.
