Scope and Contents of the Collection The collection consists primarily of correspondence between Lotte Kohler, a trustee of the Hannah Arendt Literary Trust, and Massachusetts Instittue of Technology lecturer Elzbieta Ettinger about Ettinger’s work writing a biography of Hannah Arendt (published in 1994). The letters reflect their discussions relating to that work, the bulk of the letters between 1989 and 1993. Additional correspondence continued through 2000.
