Scope and Contents
MIT DIC 6889. Project Whirlwind Memo M-1913-1. The North Truro CPS-6B is to operate with a scan time of 12 seconds in the 1953 Cape Cod System. The major computing frame for the data processing program will also be set at 12 seconds. A redistribution of ES has been made in order to simplify some of the track-while-scan (TWS) operations and in certain cases to allow a larger number of registers for excessively long sub-programs. The values of stored velocity for the tracks have been changed...

Utilization of Magnetic Drum and High-Speed Random-Access Storage, 1952 May 2
File — Multiple Containers
Identifier: 16
Scope and Contents
Project Whirlwind Memo M-1473. Several techniques are discussed whereby a computer utilizing a large magnetic drum memory and a small high-speed random-access memory can have an effective operating speed approaching that of a similar computer for which all memory is of the high-speed random-access type.
