Biographical Note

Christina Huk Jansen is an alumna and former Corporation member of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She earned the SB (1963) in electrical engineering, SM (1966) in metallurgical engineering, and PhD (1971) in physical metallurgy. As a student, she served on the Ad Hoc Committee on the Role of Women. For this work, she was awarded the Karl Taylor Compton Prize. From 1971 to 1974, she served as a member of the MIT Corporation. From 1987 to 1997, Jansen worked for the Institute as a technology licensing officer. She has also been involved with AMITA and served as president of the organization from 1992 to 1993.
