Biographical Note

Ethel Fifield Brooks (née Ethel Frances Fifield), 1873-1938, was an alumna of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She received an AB, 1895, from Smith College and an SB in architecture, 1900, from MIT. From 1900 to 1902, she was a lecturer on home architecture at the Boston School of Housekeeping, which was associated with the Women's Educational and Industrial Union. She was later an active member of the Home Economics Association of Yonkers, New York.
