Scope and Contents
The MIT Department of Architecture website provides information on the Department's mission, history, disciplines, people, research, academic programs, admissions, and news. The MIT Department of Architecture, established in 1865, is the oldest architecture department in the United States and is consistently ranked as one of the top programs in the United States. Offering undergraduate, professional, post-professional, and doctoral degree programs across five discipline groups, the Department provides an energetic and rich site to study the field. It is part of the MIT School of Architecture and Planning (SA+P).
