Biographical / Historical
Louis Godard was the son of balloonist Eugéne Godard and brother to Jules. In addition to his own aeronautic voyages and experiments, he also participated in others', notably the construction of Felix Nadar's “Le Géant.”

Italian pamphlet describing the mechanics of Louis Godard’s balloon, to be exhibited at the 1889 World’s Fair in Paris. The front cover illustration shows Louis Godard and his balloon is pictured ascended over Montecitorio Plaza on the back cover.
