Biographical Note
Armen John Esserian earned a SB degree in economics and engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1951. He was employed at the MIT Instrumentation Laboratory from 1954 to 1955. In 1960 Esserain formed Charecogn Systems, Inc. to develop and manufacture data gathering systems using optical scanning pattern recognition techniques.
