Biographical Note

Frederick Sanders, 1923-2006, was Professor emeritus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He studied at both Amherst College and MIT, and received his ScD from MIT in 1954. Sanders immediately joined the MIT faculty as a part of the Meteorology department after receiving his degree, and remained there until his retirement in 1984.
