Historical Note
Voo Doo, a Massachusetts Institute of Technology humor magazine, began publishing in 1919. In 1969 it closed down, and reemerged in 1975. In 1978 it merged with another campus publication, Thursday, in an attempt to produce an entertainment/news/humor weekly. Financial difficulties forced it to close after a year. In 1982 a new MIT humor magazine, Tool & Die, began publication; in 1986 it was renamed Voo Doo's Tool & Die and, eventually, just Voo Doo. It was published annually until 1992, and since then has been published quarterly (as of 1994).
