Historical note
The Office of Engineering Outreach Programs in the School of Engineering was formally organized in 2006 to incorporate new and ongoing programs of the office previously known as Engineering Special Programs. As of 2007, four major programs are part of the Office of Engineering Outreach Programs: MITES (Minority Introduction to Engineering and Science, MSBP (MIT Science of Baseball Program), SEED Academy (Saturday Engineering Enrichment and Discovery), and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
