Massachusetts Institute of Technology, International Motor Vehicle Program records

The International Motor Vehicle Program ( IMVP), founded at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1979 as part of the Sloan School of Management Sloan School of Management, Center for Technology, Policy, and Industrial Development. IMVP industry sponsors contribute funds, which IMVP channels to selected projects proposed by researchers at universities worldwide. Sponsors also provide guidance and access to company data and managers. Research results include presentations, papers, meetings, and focused discussions: (1) Collaborative research synthesized for sponsors online and in print; (2) Events and executive briefings at annual meetings and specialized reviews; and (3) Leadership development in a one-week executive education course.

Researchers are based at universities worldwide including MIT, the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania , University of Michigan , Carnegie Mellon University , Oxford University , University of Cambridge, cole Polytechnique, Seoul National University , University of Tokyo , Hitotsubashi University , and Kobe University.
