 Collection — Multiple Containers
Identifier: AC-0637

Scope and Contents

Committees on Women Faculty were set up in all five schools at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) following reports of two committees on women faculty in the School of Science (First Comittee 1995-1997) and Second Committee (1997-1999).

Professor Lorna Gibson was the chair of the committee in the School of Engineering. The committee conducted interviews with women faculty and collected other data. The records explore issues of concern to women faculty in the MIT School of Engineering.
