Dr. Francis Crick delivered the inaugural lecture in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Whitaker College Distinguished Lecture Series on September 22, 1983. The title of the lecture is "Thinking About the Brain."

Biographical Note
Francis Crick (1916-2004), a molecular biologist, was one of the discoverers of the structure of the deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) molecule. He was co-winner of the Nobel Prize in physiology and medicine in 1962 for his work in genetics.
