Scope and Contents of the Collection
This selection of Shannon's writings on subjects such as computers, communications theory, and telecommunications was made by Neil James Alexander Sloane and Aaron D. Wyner when they edited Shannon's collected papers for the publication Claude Elwood Shannon: Collected Papers (New York: IEEE Press, c1993). These papers were not published in that edition but were placed at MIT by the editors to complement the IEEE volume. The collection includes a complete bibliography of Shannon's writings.
