Scope and Contents

Each year the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Office of the Provost holds an orientation and introduction to MIT for new faculty the week before the academic year starts in September. A handbook of campus information resources is compiled each year by the office as part of the orientation. The collection consists ofa number of these handbooks dating from 1997 to 2006.

The collection comprises records created by the Office of the Provost at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The records, which were created during Robert A. Brown's tenure as Provost, span the years of 1998 to 2005.
