Scope and Contents of the Collection
The collection contains correspondence, memoranda, photographs, and reports relating to the establishment of the summer surveying camp run by the Department of Civil Engineering of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The camp was located in East Machias, Maine and was known informally as "Camp Technology." In addition to records of the committee planning the establishment of the camp, there is also information on the camp's operations in it's first 20 years.
